There’s a Welcome Here – here at St James’ Church there is a welcome, not just on Sundays, but also during the summer months on most week days, when the Church is open for a few hours. When open, a “Welcomer” will be on duty to assist visitors. We will be open from April through to early November.

Book Club – The dates for the next meeting of Novel Conversations is Tuesday 4 April, where the book is ‘The Green Road’ by Anne Enright. Contact David and Sandra York  (579596)

Love Lunch Our new drop in ‘Cafe’ initiative is Love Lunch. Would you like a bit of company whilst enjoying a light lunch? Join us for a warming bowl of soup and a roll, followed by tea or coffee. Next date Monday 27 March in the Church Centre in the Coffee Lounge drop in between 12 noon and 2 pm. Open every other Monday.

The Children’s Society – ‘10 Ways to Improve your Enjoyment of Wine’– The Children’s Society are holding a wine tasting evening – ’10 Ways to improve your enjoyment of wine’ on Saturday 25 March at 7 pm in St James’ Church Centre. Tickets include a talk and a chance to sample several different wines and also a light supper afterwards. Tickets are £15 pp and can be purchased from Jill Rose after the 9.30am service or please telephone 01937 586640.

Confirmation 2017 – The Bishop of Richmond is coming to lead our Confirmation Service at 10.00am on Sunday 18 June. Confirmation is an excellent opportunity to explore the meaning of the Christian faith. We will be beginning preparation groups for adults and for young people (Y6 or above) shortly.
