Suggestions for Prayer
The days between Ascension and Pentecost challenge us to  recognise the importance of prayer, to pray for the guidance and strength of the Holy Spirit in our own lives and the five people, we have been praying for, may come to recognise, believe in and trust the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. That God will bless the witness of all who, on  Ascension Day, will go to the market place and give out the ‘offerings’ that have been made.
Wetherby Churches will be praying for: St James’ Church and Church on the Corner.

Hymns and Pimms – Sunday 2 June at 6.30pm at St James’ – come along and sing some of your favourite hymns led by Michael and the choir with contributions from the Gospel Choir, followed by Pimms and nibbles. Thank you and come along and sing! Marilyn and Michael

Thy Kingdom Come – Thank you to everyone knitting and crocheting butterflies and doves. These will be going out into Wetherby Town centre on Thursday 30 May. We need another great team of volunteers to go to the marketplace and hand out our yarn offerings and to bless people. We will go from the Church Centre at 10.30am-11.30am, working in pairs. Training will be given and you really will be helping God’s kingdom to come! Stroma

Mothers’ Union Outing on Wednesday 5 June – Please would MU members who have signed up to go to Hazelwood Castle, for the historic tour and tea, please meet in the Church car park at 1.45pm prompt. Thank you. Brenda Robinson

Men’s Curry Club will meet in the Bengal Lounge, Wetherby High Street, on Monday 10 June at 7.45pm. Please contact Steve Taylor on 07530 534051 for more details.
