Michael’s Organ Elevenses Recital – A BIG thank you to Michael for his wonderful toe-tapping organ recital last Saturday morning. Thanks also to the 46 people who braved the horrendous downpour to support the event, it was worth the discomfort! Everyone was very generous with their donations and a total of £249.60 was raised towards Church funds. Thanks again to Michael and everyone who came along. Simon Cooper

The Hamlet Tragedy – St James’ very own ‘Very Useless Theatre Company’ puts on another riveting murder mystery evening on Saturday 31 August in the Church Roomat 7pm. Come and solve the clues! Thank you to all those who have offered to make quiches or help with the catering and to our very own home-grown cast! Tickets cost £10 and are available from the Parish Office. Church Stonework Repairs –This will complete the renovation of the exterior church building, ensuring that St James’ is a Church for All Seasons at the Heart of the Community. Brendan

 

East Keswick Flower Club are holding a Food and Flowers Day at East Keswick Village Hall on Thursday 15 August from 10am to 4pm. Coffee will be served on arrival, followed by a cookery demonstration by Dan Graham, Celebrity Master Chef runner up. There will be a two course lunch, followed by a flower arranging demonstration.
