Perhaps we can recall the terrible flooding in March 2017, affecting many people in Nepal, India and Bangladesh and now again we read of the tremendous loss of life and people being made homeless as a result of flooding in India. Let us pray for all who suffer as a result, those who mourn the death of loved ones and those made homeless and that they will receive the help they so desperately need. We give thanks too for those in other countries who, as a result of the ‘Sustainable Development Goal’, benefit from having clean water and sanitation.     

Pray for People in the Kings Meadow View area of Wetherby:  Kings Meadow Drive, Kings Meadow View, Kings Meadow Close, Kings Meadow Mews, Kings Meadow Grove. This week Churches in Wetherby pray for: The work of the NHS through hospitals serving this community.

St Gemma’s Hospice Coffee Morninglaunching the ’40 Faces Photography Exhibition’ at Wetherby Town Hall on Friday 7 Septemberfrom 10am to 1pm. Step-up at St James’ begins again in September– Step-up is a year-long process of learning about the Christian faith and practical discipleship. Step-up gives people an opportunity to learn, explore and to ask questions and the space to discern God’s call and purpose for their lives. Leaflets are available at the back of Church.
