Sixth Sunday After Easter – Rogation Days 

The three days before Ascension Day providing opportunity to pray for God’s blessings on the fruits of the earth and the labours of those who produce our food; remembering too those who provide our food in other countries. Sunday is also observed as “Godparents’ Sunday” when we can pray for the special relationship between Godparents and their Godchildren.

Thy Kingdom ComeThursday 10th May 10am-12noon: as part of our prayer initiative this year we will be yarn bombing Wetherby with butterflies and small teams will be offering the gift of a prayer butterfly to those we meet . "A Prayer ‘Posada’: Round the World in Nine Days: We are looking for nine families to take part in a Prayer 'Posada' as part of 'Thy Kingdom Come'.A ‘posada’ box containing a globe/world map, paper and felt tip pens will travel around nine families who will be invited to choose a country to pray for, draw the country’s flag and write the word for ‘hello’ on the back in the language of their chosen country. They will then pray for this country, its leaders and the people who live there, before placing the flag back in the box and passing it to the next family. If you would like to take part in our Prayer ‘Posada’ please speak to Sarah Sharp 07500 262306. It will set off on Sunday 13th May from the Family Service at 11am. Let’s join together in praying ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ across the globe!"
