Suggestions for Prayers

Today gives us the opportunity to remember and prayerfully give thanks for all that our mothers and grandmothers mean to us. Pray they may be given the strength, energy and patience required in fulfilling the role of motherhood. For the members of families who will worship at services in which Motherhood is celebrated and we pray too for those who, for whatever reasons, face the responsibility of caring for their children alone.

Pray for People in the Deighton Bar Area of Wetherby:  Orchard View, South View, Dearne Croft, Esk Gardens, Dove Close, Loxley Grove, Those attending   Kirk Deighton Church and the Baptist Church at Deighton Gates School.

This Week Churches in Wetherby pray for:  For the sanctity of Marriage and all home and family life

Easter Sunday 1 April Dawn Service with breakfast at 6.00am. At 6.00am on Easter morning we meet outside St James’ Church to greet the risen Christ and, as we gather round the Easter Fire, we hear once again God’s plan of salvation for his world. We then process into church to renew our baptismal vows. Finally, we all go to the Church Centre to share breakfast. If you would like to join us, please sign the sheet at the back of church, so we have an approximate idea of numbers for breakfast. All are welcome, even if you don’t sign, you can still come – all ages are welcome. Marilyn
