Suggestions for Prayers

Pray for Stroma and her family as she shares in the enormous calling and privilege in serving as a priest. Pray that she will continue to be guided and inspired in her ministry as she begins a new chapter. We remember too all in this diocese who, yesterday, were ordained as priest or deacon, for their future ministries and for their families.

TearFund Nepal

Vicarage Garden Party – Saturday 1 July from 2pm to 5pm. This is in aid of the Young People’s visit to TearFund Nepal. All are warmly invited to The Vicarage, 3 Lazenby Drive, Wetherby LS22 6WL. Croquet Afternoon – Sunday 2 July from 2-4pm. This event is in aid of the Young People’s visit to Nepal and will be held in a field off Trip Lane, Linton LS22 4HX (turn right at the windmill, towards Wood Hall, and after leaving the houses look out for a big tree on the right. St James’ Quiet Day at Parceval Hall on Tuesday 18 July 10am to 4pm – Parceval Hall is a wonderful retreat centre at Appletreewick near Bolton Abbey. It is the most beautiful place to retreat to. The building, food, gardens and setting are wonderful. Come and be restored. The day will be led by the Rev’d Yvonne Callaghan, an inspirational person. There are limited places! The cost, which includes morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea, is £25 pp, bursaries available. Further details are at the back of Church.
