Man With A Pan is aimed at men who are over 50, may live alone or care for someone or just need to improve their cooking skills.  It teaches basic cooking, kitchen hygiene and nutrition and is an opportunity to make new friends along the way. This worthwhile and successful initiative is part of St James’ mission and outreach to the local community.  If you are a member of the Co-op you can help by registering St James’ Wetherby, Man With A Pan as your chosen cause at www.coop.co.uk/membership.
When members buy Co-op branded goods or services the Co-op Community Fund will donate 1% to the chosen, local cause.  Your support will enable St James’ community outreach and ensure the future of ‘Man With A Plan’.
Suggestions for Prayer
Advent is observed to give us the opportunity to prepare for the birth of the Christ Child. Pray, just as the Infant Child and his parents were refugees, we remember the thousands of those who throughout the world are homeless, so we pray for God’s blessing upon them and those who seek to bring them help and hope.
People in Linton:  Main Street, Linton Common, Muddy Lane, Northgate Lane, Northgate Rise, Tripp Lane, Tripp Garth, Windmill Inn, The Village Hall and Wood Hall.
This week Churches in Wetherby pray for: refugees, especially the work of Save the Children.

Cheques may be made payable to Wetherby PCC, please Gift Aid if you are eligible. Please mark the envelope ‘Asylum Support’. Thank you. Brendan
