Suggestions for Prayer
Christmas reminds us of Jesus’ promise when he said “I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”  Lord, teach and guide us to follow you daily and reflect your love and compassion, being always prepared to share your truth when opportunities arise.

Helping Refugees - How can we help those who live in our community and are seeking asylum? City of Sanctuary is a national organisation which seeks to help people who have become refugees. Sara Trewitt, Regional Co-ordinator for Yorkshire and Humberside, is speaking in the Main Hall, Church Centre, on Thursday 9 January at 2pm to advise us how we might try to help.

December Quiz – The December Quiz is entitled ‘Christmas’ and costs £1.00. All money raised goes towards Church Funds. Thank you. Sue Taylor
 
Christingles – We will be preparing the Christingle oranges in the Church Centre on Monday 23 December at 6pm. This is a popular service, we have a lot of oranges to prepare, so would be grateful for your support. Please let me know if you can help. Many thanks. Bev Lyn 07879 332963.
 
Pantomime (Snow White) - Friday 27 December at 2pm – HarrogateTheatre. The Friends pay for tickets for all musicians and the coach, as a thank you for their time and commitment. The coach will leave the Cluster of Nuts carpark at 1pm. There are still tickets available, which are now offered to members of the congregation. A contribution of £15 pp is requested from non-musicians, this includes the theatre ticket and coach.
