Suggestions for Prayer
Bible Sunday when we can be reminded of the privilege we have of being able to read the Scriptures in our own language, while many worldwide do not have this opportunity. We give thanks for the important work of the Wycliffe Bible Translators continuing to translate in those countries still waiting for bibles that they can read.
People in the Ainsty Road Area of Wetherby: Ainsty Road, Ainsty Crescent, Ainsty Drive, Ainsty Garth, Ainsty View, Beechwood Rise, Linden Way, Churches in Wetherby are asked to pray for the work of C.T.I.Wetherby

We thank Susan for organising these quizzes on behalf of St James’. Susan has done so much for St James’ over the years, always in gracious and caring ways. We will all miss Susan’s friendship and pray for a good move and God’s deepest blessing as Susan settles into life in Newcastle. Brendan

St James’ Bells to Ring for Services Again? – but only if there are people who would like to learn to ring and form a new band! If you can climb steps, stand up and count, there is a good chance you can learn to ring a bell. No Trick, Just Treat! on Thursday 31 October 6pm to 8pm in the Church/Crypt. Service of Light on Sunday 3 November at St James at 6.30pm. We will be joining together at St James’ to remember our loved ones by the lighting of individual candles in their memory. The Children’s Society are holding a Coffee Morning on Saturday 9November at Wetherby Town Hall. We will have all the usual favourites, books, bric-a-brac, tombola and, of course, refreshments, ie cakes and bacon butties. Please come along and support us.
