Today Service of Light at St James’ Church at 6.30pm – We look forward to welcoming the Reverend Darren McClintock, who is one of the chaplains at the LGI. We will be joining together to remember our loved ones by the lighting of individual candles in their memory. All are welcome.

Suggestions for Prayer
Each year we have the opportunity to remember and give thanks for the Saints and learn from their example. We sometimes forget, as Christians, we are all called to be saints in loving the Lord Jesus and obeying his commands. The children’s hymn, ‘I Sing a Song of the Saints of God’, expresses this well.

The Children’s Society are holding a Coffee Morning on Saturday 9 November at Wetherby Town Hall.  We will have all the usual favourites, books, bric-a-brac, tombola and, of course, refreshments, ie, cakes and bacon butties. Friends Invitation Service on Advent Sunday 1 December at 6.30pm.  Come along and join us at a lovely Advent Carol Service with contributions by the Friends of Wetherby Church Music.  After the Service, refreshments will be provided.

Christmas Day Lunch at the Methodist Church Hall 12 noon to 3pm – Once again, the churches are working together to provide a Christmas Day Lunch, good company and entertainment for those alone or who find the day particularly difficult.  Tickets cost £5 and are now available from the Parish Office or at the Wednesday & Saturday Coffee Mornings at the Methodist Church.
